ATHENAEVM LVGDVNENSE RESTITVTVM / M.D.CC Front elevation of the Altar of Lugdunum, decorated with the corona civica between laurels and stylized figures; altar flanked by columns surmounted by statues of Victory standing vis-à-vis, each holding a palm frond in her right hand and wreath in her left. Gadoury 2999. Good extremely fine.

The reverse of this beautiful medal shows the Ara trium Galliarum, the Roman Altar of Lugdunum, on the reverse, a motive which was copied directly from coins of Augustus (27 BC-14 AD)
